Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn the basics of sourdough making or an experienced baker looking to refine your skills, our hands-on classes at Seasons Bed & Breakfast offer something for everyone.
Our Sourdough Classes aim to provide hands-on practice in creating sourdough bread from scratch. These classes guide each participant through all aspects of sourdough bread—from feeding and maintaining a starter to shaping loaves, scoring, and baking loaves. Participants will be equipped with the practice, information, and nearly all the supplies needed to continue making sourdough at home.
No bread-making class is a bread-making class without getting to eat some bread! Each class is finished by enjoying some warm, fresh-baked sourdough with a charcuterie board and drinks.
Our goal is to help each person understand the sourdough process (and how it's really not as complicated as people make it). We want you to feel equipped to continue making sourdough on your own, so we provide each participant with the following take-home supplies:

Our artisan sourdough loaves are $10, and
seasonal flavors are available upon request. If you’re hosting an event, be sure to ask about our sourdough bulk orders!
Our Sourdough Classes cater to small groups of 3-6 participants, with a duration of approximately 2.5 hours. Participants will acquire the essential skills for creating and maintaining a sourdough starter, and will have the opportunity to make their very own loaf to take home and bake.
A light charcuterie and drinks are provided to enjoy during class.

Sourdough bread is gaining popularity all the time, and it is, first and foremost, a delicious type of bread! As a bonus, it has nutritional benefits and acts as a prebiotic, promoting healthy gut bacteria that support digestion and overall wellness.
Sourdough starters range in price but generally come in around $20. This price often includes a well-established starter that’s ready to use immediately for baking, saving you the time and effort of cultivating one from scratch.
How often you should feed your sourdough starter depends on how you store it and how active you need it to be for baking. If it’s stored at room temperature, you should feed it once a day. If stored in the refrigerator, you should feed it once a week.
